Homemade Vegan Pizza 🍕

There's nothing more satisfying than homemade pizza:) Once you make our delicious no-salt marinara sauce you will never buy another jar of pre-made sauce!

Homemade Dough:

(optional: skip this step & use store-bought dough or pre-made crust)

14 oz bread flour

8 oz water

1 tsp sugar

2 tsp dried instant yeast

1 oz garlic olive oil

1 tsp salt

With my robot chef or by hand, mix 8 oz water, 1 tsp sugar and 2 tsp dried instant yeast. Add 14 oz bread flour, 1 oz garlic olive oil, and 1 tsp salt and let the robot knead for 2 min, or knead by hand until dough forms. Place dough into a large bowl greased with olive oil spray and set aside. Cover bowl with lid or cling wrap and let dough rise until doubled in size (approx. 1hr).

Homemade Sauce:

(optional: skip this step & use Gotham Greens Vegan Pesto)

3 garlic cloves

1/2 onion

2 oz olive oil

30 oz of fresh tomatoes or 2 cans of diced tomatoes (non-bpa with no salt added)

5-10 fresh basil leaves or 1 tsp of dry basil

1 tsp oregano

1 tsp thyme

1 tsp monkfruit or coconut sugar

With my robot chef or by hand, finely chop 3 garlic cloves and half an onion. Saute with 2 oz of olive oil on low heat for approx. 7 min. Add diced tomatoes, basil, and 1 tsp oregano, 1 tsp thyme, 1 tsp monkfruit or coconut sugar, then cook on low temp (212°F) for approx. 20 min. Optional: blend until desired creamy consistency.

Pizza Toppings:

vegan mozzarella

vegan parmesan

fresh veggies veggies of choice

seasonings of choice

Preheat oven to 450°F. Brush 2 baking sheets or pizza pans with garlic infused olive oil. Split dough and shape to fit your pans by pressing and stretching it gently with fingertips. Form a small ridge around the edges for the crust and then brush dough with garlic infused olive oil. Add your homemade marinara sauce or vegan pesto, then lightly sprinkle some vegan mozzarella (less is more when using vegan cheese). Top with your favorite veggies like peppers, zucchini, fresh tomatoes, fresh basil, etc. Optional: sprinkle some vegan parmesan and seasonings over the veggies like black pepper, thyme, oregano, & basil. Bake for approx. 20min or until crust is golden & crispy. Bake for 10min if using pre-made crust.


This recipe makes 2 pizza pies. Leftovers can be frozen. Made w/❤️ @Cheryl.tv
