Apple Pear Detox Juice Recipe
Servings: 2
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
2 large apples, cored and sliced
2 ripe pears, cored and sliced
1-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
1 lemon, peeled
A handful of fresh mint leaves
1 cup of fresh spinach leaves
1 cup of cold water or coconut water
Instructions:
Prepare the Ingredients: Wash the apples, pears, ginger, lemon, mint leaves, and spinach thoroughly.
Blend or Juice: With a Juicer: Juice all the ingredients together, starting with the ginger and lemon, followed by the apples, pears, spinach, and mint. With a Blender: Combine all ingredients in the blender. Add water or coconut water. Blend until smooth. For a juice-like texture, strain the mixture using a nut milk bag or fine mesh strainer. For a smoothie-like texture, enjoy it as is.
Serve: Pour the juice into glasses, over ice if desired, and enjoy immediately.
Garnish: Optionally, garnish with a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint.
Note on Fiber Content:
Strained Juice: Straining the blend removes most of the fiber, resulting in a clear, juice-like drink. For easy straining I use a nut milk bag.
Smoothie: Keeping the pulp in the blend gives you a fiber-rich smoothie, beneficial for digestion.
Either way, this recipe is a delicious, refreshing way to include more fruits in your diet. Enjoy it as a morning detox juice or an afternoon pick-me-up smoothie! 🍏🍐🌿🥤
