What you need:
1 frozen banana
1 peeled orange (or fresh OJ)
2 tbsp rolled oats
1 tsp chia seeds
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tbsp of pure maple syrup
4 pitted dates (save half for topping)
8 raw walnuts (save half for topping)
cinnamon crunch cereal (optional topping)
unsweetened shredded coconut (optional topping)
Try it yourself:
In my robot chef or a very good blender like Blentec or Vitamix, add 1 frozen banana, 1 carrot, 1 peeled orange or fresh OJ, 2 tbsp of rolled oats, 1 tsp of chia seeds, 2 pitted dates, a few raw walnuts, 1/2 tsp of ground cinnamon, & 1 tbsp of pure maple syrup, & a bit of cold filtered water as needed. Depending on your preferred thickness/creaminess, only add more water if your blender requires it. Serve immediately and add toppings of choice like fresh banana slices, chopped walnuts, chopped dates, cinnamon crunch cereal, goji berries and/or unsweetened shredded coconut.
