I've made this vegan grilled cheese for my non-vegan friends and they devoured it! With all of the amazing alternatives that exist today, it's so easy to veganize your favorite recipes! As I always say... if it tastes just as good, why not choose the kinder, healthier alternative!
𝑺𝒆𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝑭𝒓𝒆𝒆 𝑷𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒕-𝑩𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝑪𝒐𝒐𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒔𝒔!
1 tbsp of vegan butter (I love Country Crock Plant Butter)
1 slice of vegan cheese (I love Daiya Provolone & Violife Cheddar)
2 slices of vegan turkey (I love peppered or hickory smoked Tofurkey)
2 slices of frozen bread (I love Sara Lee's Artesano Bakery Bread)
1/2 fresh ripe pear
Easy Recipe | The Best Vegan Grilled Cheese Sandwich:
Heat your pan over medium low heat while coating the outsides of your frozen bread with vegan butter.
Cut your pear into thin slices and warm on pan.
Form a sandwich with your tofurkey, vegan cheese, and a few slices of warmed pear.
Grill the buttered sides of the sandwich until lightly browned and cheese is melted, flipping when necessary. Cover your pan while cooking to melt the cheese faster. You will love the hint of sweetness the fresh pear adds to this sandwich!

Tip: Try swapping your regular bread for some sprouted bread! It’s easier to digest, lower in carbs, and higher in protein & fiber. Sprouted grain bread is also lower in gluten, and has a lower glycemic index compared to regular bread. Freeze sprouted bread right away for optimal freshness, and the butter spreads on easier when frozen!
