Vegan Grilled Cheese Sandwich Recipe 🥪 w/Tofurky & Pear

I promise you won't miss old grilled cheese sandwiches once you try this awesome healthy alternative!

What you need:

tofurky deli slices (peppered or hickory smoked)

frozen sprouted bread

fresh pear (sliced thin)

violife vegan cheese (mature cheddar slices or smoked provolone)

earth balance vegan buttery spread

Try it yourself:

Heat your grill pan over medium heat while coating the outsides of your frozen sprouted bread with vegan butter. Form a sandwich with a slice of vegan cheese, a few slices of pear, & 2-3 slices of tofurky. Grill the buttered sides of the sandwich until crispy, flipping when necessary. Cover your pan while cooking to melt the cheese faster. Serve warm & enjoy:) You will love the hint of sweetness the fresh pear adds to this sandwich!

Tip: I always recommend sprouted bread over regular bread because it’s easier to digest, lower in carbs, and higher in protein & fiber. Sprouted grain bread is also lower in gluten, and has a lower glycemic index compared to regular bread. Freeze right away for optimal freshness, and the butter spreads on easier when frozen!
